With so many people trying to get your attention from tv, radio, bridal shows, internet, social networks, and the saturation of DJs and DJ companies out there, well you get the idea, it can perhaps make selecting your DJ overwhelming.
Look and you will find some great and not so great experiences with a DJ or DJ company. My opinion as a professional DJ in the business for over 15 years is not to base your hiring solely on videos, demos or a sales person. To me the best proof you hire the right DJ is from the customer feedback. The last thing you should want is to hire a DJ with little to no information only to find out a rookie DJ is using your event as a training ground. That being said, a true professional, experienced and talented DJ makes a world of a difference. Keep in mind there are many DJ styles, so make sure the style and vision for what you are looking for is matching with the DJ you are hiring. Some people may know just how crucial the music aspect of a special event is or some may find out when it’s too late. So be sure you feel comfortable with your decision and check the reviews. This will make for a sound event and save you the frustration and regret later. Chances are if you are basing hiring your DJ only because of the pricing, you might fall into a dangerous territory of having a questionable DJ, so it might be better to pay a little extra to ensure your special event runs smooth and makes for a memorable event that you can treasure for years to come.
On the other hand some people might pay an outrageous price for DJ services and not get the most bang for your buck so pricing should not really be the primary factor.
